beads for compensation

Hi all,
Recently I try compensation beads (Simply cellular compensation standard, cat# 550)from
Bang's lab. I find that the beads have problems binding with PE-conjugated mouse mAb and
only a very weak single is detected(No problems with FITC or APC mAbs). I don't see this
problem in Compbeads from BD.
I wonder what possible explanations are and how to solve this problem. Besides BD and
Bang's lab which company/vendor can also provide beads  for compensation?
