Hi Pamela

We have the Jun Air VK800 5M compressor/vacuum "in a cabinet"
combination that has worked well for 10 years or so. We had an "air
drier" fitted to reduce the risk of biological contamination that may be
present in moist air. Whether the latter made a material difference in
respect to contamination I'm not sure but it certainly removes water
from the "holding tank", means that draining the compressor is not an
issue and the likelihood of corrosion is much reduced.

Only criticism is that it is a bit noisy and if you can site it in a
different room it may be worth thinking about.

Hi Everyone,
My FACSVantage DiVa cell sorter is currently using house air to
pressurize the system.	This was never a problem until we started
sorting at the higher pressures. Now we have fluctuations in the
pressure which are causing stability issues with the stream. I would
like to order an air compressor that would be dedicated to the
sorter.
I have heard that BD recommends Junair compressors and I am curious as
to what you are all using for your instruments. I look forward to
hearing your replies.
Warmest regards,
Pam
