Alice, Something similar (but maybe not identical) happened to us with DiVa software on an LSR II. We had the additional clue that there was a database issue from a message in the Java command window (not normally showing on screen). We now know the fault was with the Sybase SQL Anywhere software (but not specifically with our particular database). At the time, we weren't quite sure where the fault lay but the fix we found to work was to uninstall the DiVa software, uninstall the Sybase SQL Anywhere software and reinstall DiVa from the CD which automatically re-installed the Sybase SQL Anywhere software as a first step. If it happens again we would try uninstalling and re-installing just the Sybase SQL Anywhere software, or at the very least try allowing the DiVa re-install to use the existing database. Of course we have no clue as to what caused our failure!!?? Frank Battye. Alice L. Givan wrote: > I have been thinking myself lucky with our use of the Canto and its DIVA > software.
