We have a potential opening of a PhD level R/D position for a highly motivated individual with the ability to function under minimal supervision in order to develop a variety of genetic assays, whose duties include assay development, QA, writing of SOPM and training of technologists. The Molecular Pathology Laboratory at the Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine is a regional reference laboratory offering testing in molecular oncology, genetics including CGH and infectious diseases. The laboratory is equipped with platforms such as Roche LightCycler, Digene Hybrid Capture, ABI 3130XL Genetic Analyzer, 7000 Sequence Detection System, Luminex, Aglient CGH Scanner and ilumina Beads Station.
