European Cytometry Network meeting invitation 28-29th February 2008

Dear interested Cytometrists,

During the DGfZ meeting in Regensburg on October 10-13th. 2007, we  
proposed forming a European network of Cytometrists with the aim of  
close co-operation between the different cytometry Societies and  
Organisations within Europe. We have canvassed a number of these  
groups and the interest in this initiative has been strong.  
Therefore, I would like to announce a meeting to take place here at  
EMBL Heidelberg Germany on the 28th and 29th of February 2008 to  
discuss and form such a network. I would like to invite all  
interested parties to apply. There will be a web site set up next  
week where you can apply for the meeting. I will post an email with  
the address when this is up and running.

The aims of the network are:

1) Education.
2) The promotion of cytometry techniques.
3) Supporting for local/regional meetings.

The network would provide resource to societies and organisations and  
improve communication between them to minimise duplication of effort.
