Dear colleagues, I was hoping someone would be able to help me with statistics for histogram subtraction (golgiplugged cells vs non-treated). I'm using WinList 6.0 and have gotten the following results from its inbuilt histogram subtraction (apparently the super-enhanced Dmax method): DValue (% Max Difference): 14.81 % Positives (SED): 29.49 Median Channel of Positives: 192 Medium relative linear Channel of Positives: 5.62 Median Channel of Control: 118 Medium relative linear Channel of Control: 2.88 Pos-Ctr Intensity ratio: 1.95 As far as I understand I should use this formula to determine Dcrit and then somehow a p value. My n1=48398 and n2=48250. I'm assuming that 14.81 is my Dmax, so I end up with Dcrit=2302. Is this correct? How do I get from this Dcrit to a p value? I know it's got something to do with Kolmogorov-Smirnov, but I can't really figure out what I'm supposed to do here... Any help would be much appreciated.
