Just in case there is any question about these organizations like IBC 
and CHI ...

.they are businesses whose primary role is in making money...a lot of 
money....I have been invited to each of these organizations to speak in 
the past.......my gut feeling is that they over charge, the quality of 
the meetings is not something that I would be positive about and I would 
be very cautious about seeing these organizations as in any way 
representing the status of a scientific discipline.

My advice is to focus on a scientific conference run by scientific 
societies....not a commercial entity....

Sometimes reading the books is better....and a whole lot cheaper. 
Frankly, I don't think much of the quality of these conferences at all....
