An old "interesting" paper was brought back to my mind when I read your email. It is listed below: Prorbol Ester Enhances Deoxynucleoside Incorporation while inhibiting proliferation of K-562 cells Cytometry 6 591,596, 1985 The bottom line of this was that there was a down regulation of DNA synthesis but upregulation of DNA repair. Therefore, one should do two color anlaysis to determine if BUDR incorporation is truly DNA snythesis or DNA repair. "I've performed experiments with Jurkat cells, which cell viability, apoptosis and proliferation were studied after treating cells by various concentration of flavonoids. One of these flavonoids, induced G2M arrest and apoptosis in cells but had no effect on the cell proliferation (measured by BrdU incorporation ELISA assay." I have no idea to discuss this results and it's kind of you to send me your helpful comments.
