The Flow Cytometry Facility at the University of California, Berkeley 
is seeking a sort operator. This facility is equipped with a MoFlo 
high performance sorter, a Beckman-Coulter Elite sorter, 3 
Beckman-Coulter XL-MCL analyzers and a Beckman-Coulter FC500 analyzer.

  Research Associate II
Job Description: Full time. Sort operator for MoFlo high speed 
sorter. Assume the responsibility to assist graduate students, 
Post-Doctoral fellows and staff in projects utilizing flow cytometry. 
Ability to assist with the daily operations of a multi-user, 
multi-instrument, flow cytometry facility. Hours are from 12:00PM to 
9:00PM. Must be flexible enough to sometimes work regular shift 
hours(8:00-5:00).

Qualifications: BS/BA degree in relevant science field. 1-3 years 
flow cytometry experience. Experience with a research grade cell 
sorter is necessary. Must posses a solid understanding of how flow 
cytometry can be applied to biomedical research. Must be able to 
interact with a diverse group of researchers .	Must have good 
organizational /communication skills and good computer skills. Salary 
commensurate with experience.
