RE: RNA from sorted cells

Hi,
I'm trying to extract RNA from sorted cells. 
Unfortunately, the maximum number of cells I will get back will be 1,000
so I'm concerned that the extracted RNA will be degraded or
non-existent. 
Does anyone have any handy tips/advice? I hope to use the RNA for
real-time PCR.
