Sorting problems with FACSCalibur

Dear Flowers:
We had a sorting problem with our 3 years-old FACSCalibur. The machine was used for
analysis regularly but we have not done a lot of sorting on it.
The problem is that there is no liquid going into the collection tube whe it is on
sorting mode. We did hear the clicking 'noise' when it started sorting. And the displayed
sorting events and rates seem to match our beads concentration. When we flush the sorting
line, we did see fluid coming into the collecting tube. Just a while ago, the FACSCalibur
was able to sort beads without any problem. Are we missing something here? Has someone
experienced the same problem before? Or the vibrating collection nozzle got clotted due
to non-frequent usage?	Was the collection nozzle get flushed as well when we flush the
sorting tube line?

We have yet not contacted BD technical service which seems to be costly, especially when
the frequency for requisitions in our place was considered.

Many thanks in advance and any input will be appreciated,
