Dear Colleagues I hope many of you are going to attend the ISAC XXIII congress in Quebec City, May 20-24th, 2006. I am reminding you that Dec 12 is the deadline for oral presentations for this congress. I know that many of you will be like me, and be constantly fighting deadlines (and losing!!)... You must register with COS (Community of Science) in order to deposit your abstract. To do this, go to http://ams.cos.com/cgi-bin/login?institutionId=694&meetingId=218 and click "create a new account" - it takes 5 minutes to do this...then make sure you go back to the above URL to begin entering your abstract.... Now, if you really want to give a talk at the congress you are going to have to get your abstract in - because the time is short, we have decided to add a couple of days to the deadline...you will be able to edit your abstract for oral presentation for a couple of additional days this week.....but please do it quickly. If you want to present a poster, you have till Feb 1, 2006 to submit that. I know a few people have been frustrated with the COS system - nothing is perfect - it is the same system we have used for the past 2 congresses so most should have worked it out by now. If any of you have concerns or problems, email me and we will help you solve the problem. Don't panic!
