Effect of fixation on APC-Cy7 or APC-Alexa Fluor 750

Hello everyone...

We have investigator using APC-Alexa Fluor 570 conjugated human CD4 
antibody for labeling human PBMCs.  CD4 labeling is easily distinguishable 
in fresh samples using this reagent, but after treatment with 
fixation/permeablization reagents, the fluorescence is lost.  None of the 
other markers in her 7-color panel are affected by fixation.  Has anyone 
else seen this problem with APC tandems?
