FRET - Antigen density limits - references

Hi Flowers,
	A researcher has asked an interesting question about the 
limitations of FRET - what is the lower limit of antigen density 
which stills allows FRET to be detected and are there any references 
around to quote on this point. I have been digging around in review 
articles and it is difficult to find a reference that investigates 
this limitation specifically. I would be grateful for a reply 
offering any information on this question.
