Dear Colleagues, Rarely is there an opportunity for the community to access really important publications freely. But the times are changing and as many journals including really good ones are now open access, so too is an opportunity being made to the community by our friends at Invitrogen. As of today, you can access the entire contents of Howard M. Shapiro's important reference work, "Practical Flow Cytometry" 4th Ed. (published by John Wiley & Sons) free of charge. While you can't print the materials, you can read whatever you want. This is a great gift to the community by Molecular Probes detection technologies from Invitrogen and the community will definitely benefit by this gift. You can get access to Howard's great text by going to: http://probes.invitrogen.com/products/flowcytometry/practica lflowcytometry.html or here is a short form that will allow you direct access to the registration page (your name and email are required) http://tinyurl.com/ab274 I want to personally thank Michael W. Olszowy, Ph.D., Product Manager, Invitrogen Corporation for doing the hard work to arrange this for the flow cytometry community. Perhaps our friends in the imaging community will also realize that Howard's book is a really great document. Molecular Probes has been a strong supporter of the cytometry community and continues to be. It is time to publically acknowledge this great contribution. Congratulations to both Invitrogen and of course Howard Shapiro who is one of our cytometry gems! We will also make a link to this from the new ISAC web site. Kind Regards, J.
