Hi Alexander, good question. I decided against the BD service contracts for our instruments because I want to keep lower our expenses. BD so far has provided good service when has been requested (Our BD engineers are very nice and understanding). Of course, if I need service within 24 hours I pay 1000 dollars in premium. So far, the expenses for service calls has been much, much, much lower than the contracts. The savings allow me to keep our price unchanged for three years. If you can do minor repairs is a good approach. Always, I call for annual preventive maintenance. If you need additional information please feel free to call me, regards Rafael >===== Original Message From Alexander Astrakhan <astrakhan@gmail.com> ===== >Dear Flowers > >My facility is considering dropping the service contract for our >Calibur, and I need to devise an slush fund for repairs and >maintenance.
