Sorting 3T3 cells

We have been experiencing a situation where we see a lot of cell death
after sorting 3T3 cells. The cells prior to sorting seem to be in good
shape, good viability etc. but following sorting we see a change in the
scatter parameters and most of the sorted cells are dead within 24 hrs.

Our sorting conditions have varied, but the most current set are as
follows. We are sorting on a FACStarPLUS with a 100um nozzle, primary
laser 488nm at 200mw sheath pressure at 8 PSI.

Has anyone else noticed that 3T3 may be more susceptible to the rigors of
sorting??
