Flow Cytometry Supervisor in San Diego!

The Clinical Science and Technology group at Biogen IDEC is seeking a 
senior level flow cytometrist to oversee the flow cytometry group at our 
San Diego site. The Flow Cytometry Supervisor will report to the Senior 
Manager. This person will be responsible for the management of the flow 
cytometry laboratory section, including oversight of laboratory staff, 
writing staff goals, independently managing experimental design for cell 
and serum based flow assays, flow cytometry based assay development, 
oversight of instrument maintenance/ calibration, writing procedures, 
executing validation plans for new assays, project management, QC/QA 
monitoring, GLP compliance and meeting milestones related to the 
completion of assays on clinical and pre-clinical samples in support of 
the clinical trials.

A Bachelors degree or graduate degree in the biological science related 
field is a must. The ideal candidate will possess at least 10 years of 
laboratory experience with at least 5 years in clinical or research flow 
cytometry, excellent skills in 3 to 6 color immunophenotyping and analysis 
(preferred using BD FACS Caliburs and FACS CANTO), excellent written and 
oral communication skills. In addition to the technical skills, the ideal 
candidate will also have at least 5 years supervisory experience. 
Experience with SQL*LIMS and or Labware LIMS a plus.
