Kate, You have found the achilles heel of this instrument. Sounds like your worm gear, and other lifter components needs a good cleaning along with some light lubrication. It's been my experience that Teflon type lubricants work best. After changing the lifter motor, there are some adjustments that can be tricky for someone trying to do this for the first time. There are also some settings in the Loader manager software which may be adjusted to the lifter parameters. While I am eager to visit your part of the world, it might be easier for you to send us the loader drawer for repair. If you would like more info. please feel free to contact me.
