The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day
running of a Beckman-Coulter Altra 3 laser 6 colour flow cytometer/cell
sorter based at the Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham. Duties will
include implementation of new applications in collaboration with users,
and scheduling of instrument usage and charging. This is an
opportunity to use leading edge instrumentation in a stimulating and
interactive academic environment.
Experience of flow cytometry and/or cell sorting will be an advantage,
but training will be given as required. The successful candidate
will need to develop familiarity with software controlled
instrumentation, and use of specialist software for flow cytometry data
analysis, as well as use standard spreadsheet and word processing
applications.
Salary will be within the range £18,265 - £20,311 per annum, depending on
qualifications and experience. This post is available immediately
and will be offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of three
years.
