Back titration is always done when assaying for optimal infectious units of
virus.  TCID50's or TCID90's is often the prefered unit when calculating for
most viral inhibitory activities.

 can anyone out there that does HIV research tell me whether its
standard procedure to do back-titrations of the HI-virus.

 I know you perform this for other viruses, but have never come
across any such info for HIV.

If possible, can you refer me to some articles?
