Introduction	The Purdue University Cytometry Laboratories (PUCL) recognizes that microbiology is one of the fastest growing areas in the cytometry field. The purpose of this section of the Purdue CD-ROM series is to maintain a forum to share information regarding flow cytometric applications in microbiology. We welcome contributions to future volumes.
